Day 109
3, 2 and 1: it's mine (last day)

GPS: N 45°, 18.516'
E 141°, 42.860'
Ort: Cap Soya
Etmal: 33 km
Total: 2775 km
Despite of my fears the feet have gone down and I must not
slit the shoes as I've planned it. In the morning the sky is still gloomy and I count on a shower at any time. But when I'm walking on a "roller-coaster road" with a pool nearby, over the dunes covered with bamboo and along the coast, the clouds are decreasing. One hour later I can leave the umbrella in my breakfast bar. There are only 10 km left, that's like walking in
a park. The road goes directly along the coast, on the right
the bamboo is rustling in the dunes, behind me there's Wakkanai, on the left there's somewhere the stolen Sacchalin and before me there are hordes of Japanese as well as this pyramid thing being at this moment the most northern part of Japan. Around 1.24 p.m. I reach Cap Soya; 2,775 km of walking, 109 days and many, many nice experiences lie
behind me. Armstrong once said somewhere out in the world where the silver surfer was lonely lapping: "It's a small step
for me, but a big step for the mankind." Well, in my case it's rather vice versa and moreover, I didn't also invent the Teflon pan. Instead of, I prefer to close this diary by quoting Laotse: "Even a way being 1,000 km long begins with the first step!" Anyway, now I also know what comes afterwards!
