Day 16
The end of the "2 long days' town"

"GPS : N 32 °, 30.923" E 131 °, 41.004 '
Place: Kitagawa
Etmal: 20 km
Total: 358 km
The first gentle night has been wonderful for me on the "last" beach on Kyushu in the soft sand: quiet and long. But after a short while the terror of the four-lane main road begins once again and switching my brain to stand-by mode I am concentrating only on the life preservation system: buying food, drinking, buying a new map of Shikoku, drinking again. When I am coming out on the other side of a tunnel, I notice something strange: the town simply ends here. Tunnels are great, towns are stupid! It needs two long days to cross this town. However, I am still on road No. 10, but before the tunnel most cars have disappeared right and left in other directions. A country valley with river and rice fields is waiting for me: time to wake up. I am walking for a while into the heart of the country until a resting place on a hill with fluently water calls me. This is the end for today!
