Day 2
"Do"
- the way!
GPS-Position: N
31°, 01.390'; E 130°, 40.984'
Starting Point: Beach next to Sata
Etmal: 27 km
Total: 39 km
A ding-dong alarm call of a village nearby - and I am awake.
It's 6 a.m. and still dark. After a little while it begins
to rain.
At 8 a.m. I'm on the way. The spring rain of the morning turns
out to a shocking rain storm till noon. It gets bloddy cold
and
I must put on everything what I've taken with me, what a pity
that it's all for spring time. Now I'm lying on a free little
place
in the jungle being about 12 km before Nejime, outside I can
still hear the roaring of wind and rain. Time to think about:
"Every way no matter how long starts with the first step!"
(Laotse)
From an old and
almost forgotten Japanese book (Hagakure)
I would like to remember the following about rain: "Have
a look
at them how they hectically and nervously jump from roof
projection to roof projection, anxious not to become wet;
and
nevertheless, they get wet." Hey, I have become wet -
sorry,
no roof projection!
