Day 26
It's raining again!
GPS: N 33°, 26.269 ' E 133°, 26.021 '
Place: U(.) s(.) a (.)!?
Etmal: 21 km
Total: 580 km
The last thing I noticed yesterday has been a stereo sound:
on the right ear the rattling of the rig as well as fishes
jumping for joy and on the left ear a Japanese woman singing
somewhere far away. Great! In the morning, I can't believe
it; everything is still dry, although there are already a
lot of rain clouds in the sky. I'm happy because I can walk
20 km along
a seaside road. It's simply wonderful to get finally out of
the crowded valleys with the truck terror. On the beach a
lot of anglers are trying their luck; but they have put additional
blue tarps on their tents and this seems to me a bad omen.
When
at 2 p.m. the first rain drops are falling bit by bit from
the grey sky, I find an unguarded campground on the beach
of Kochi.
I just managed it to pitch my tent and to go shopping without
getting wet: Duck in honey, Kimchi (hot sandwiched
cabbage), sour vegetables and 2 kilos of grapefruits, as well
as 3 chocolate bars against bad mood. Today I have discovered
the first signs of webs between my toes when washing them.
Yesterday I met the fourth Gaijin with his Japanese girlfriend
(Miel + Mayumi) which do the 88 temples tour. They have had
only bad weather in the north! Well then: Tomorrow in the
morning dew, let's go to the mountains,
fallera!
