The weather's marvellous and I am strolling down (as far as
this is possible with the heavy backpack) through a beautiful valley towards Tokushima. The water of the river looks like
the "treasure in the silver lake". But I'm really sorry that on
this lonely road only trucks starting with 20 t are permitted polluting the air in groups of 6 -10 one behind the other and
just carrying sand from A to B. In a village (but rather 5 - 6 houses), I take a break at a bus stop (there are always so beautiful armchairs in it) and I am watching a water blackbird which struggles for its breakfast in the shallow water of the close river. Dipping the bird looks for fly larvae or something else. I'm dreaming a little bit and suddenly there comes a tiny grandma out of the opposite house asking me whether I
would like to have a few rice crackers, because the backpack looks rather heavy and therefore I have to take a good meal.
I wouldn't say "no"! Well, my dear water blackbird, that's the way it is!
