Day 34
"Mother of all storms"

GPS: N 33 °, 51,810 ' E 134 °, 30.119'
Altitude: 680 m
Place: Washi-no-Sato
Etmal: 23 km
Total: 753 km
Oh well, as it has poured so much, this time I have built up
my tent on a gravel ground (clever as I am sometimes) so
that the water runs off well. Then at 1.18 a.m. the tent is lying
on me, because the thunderstorm was followed by the
"mother of all storms". Half sleeping I am just thinking about trains coming nearer, which however should not be here at
all, when the hurricane suddenly rolls down the mountain and kills my tent! Anyway, the next morning I am K.O. after the nightly reconstruction of my housing. The 20 minutes trip with the gondola uphill to the 21st temple is also very interesting having a wind force of 11. Compared with this adventure, a roller coaster is nothing! However, we have a sunny day in
the end, the wind falls asleep and me too about 9 p.m. after having spent a comfortable evening in a family with food and sake near by the 18th temple in Komatsushima.
