It has been raining again for one week and this goes perfectly with the surrounding area. Though I've spent the night in a
park under a blossoming cherry tree, 20 km far away I find
the endless stream of cars fighting against the time. After a complete breakfast (fish, rice, vegetables, 2 bananas, 1 chocolate bar and 1 l of vegetable juice) I'm again on my way
to the mountains. Hooray! Changed scenery: I've found again my road No. 3 from the beginning of my trip. Silence, idyll, singing birds and endless blossoming cherry trees in Momoyama, then again damp humidity in the thick forest with an uphill grade of 16 %! Cars? Rarely! Once a woman
jumped out and gave me a can of coffee. "Mount Koya?" Puzzled, I can only nod and then she has disappeared again. Later on, a teal car stops and a guy gets out, points at my backpack and my calves and wants to shake my hands.
Then he's also away. "Strong!" was the only word he said.
And all this happens only 15 km away from the traffic terror
of the towns. Amazing!
