Day 46
If I the sea see, need ` I no sea more
GPS: N 34 °, 29.517 ' E 136 °, 41,150 '
Place: Ise
Etmal: 23 km
Total: 1,031 km
"All towns are similar" comes into my mind when
I have a
look at the clock with my gummed up eyes. It's 5.15 a.m. and
two idiots are playing tennis on a parking place 50 m far
away in the twilight, because ... now the place's free. A
few minutes later the "dog-shit-armada" is coming.
Dozing I'm thinking about the last night in Ise. I was lying
awake in my open tent and had my own "TV-program".
In front of me surreal scenery happened. On the bridge over
the river the car caravan was standing again in both directions
- a red one and a white one. Above all, like an UFO, there
was the brightly enlightened fuelling station where I got
my water from. Roaring music echoes over the river as well
as the permanent ringing of the station mobile (over loudspeaker!).
50 m beside the tent a roaring drunken guy plays Miles Davis
with his saxophone -
it's pretty beautiful. Above all you can hear the rumbling
Wuuppp Wuuupp of the NDF Apachee fight helicopters practicing
over the mountains. Much later the maniacs
(without exhaust pipes) were doing again races on the bridge
because.... now it's free.... 22.012 steps later... The sun
goes down as a blood-red ball over the sea. I'm lying in the
tent on the beach enjoying the rushing of the waves and the
passing boats. At least I'm a coastal child. If I can see
the sea, I don't need any more oceans. Wonderful!
