Day 67
"Oh
Christmas Tree... "
GPS: N 36 °, 49.297 ' E 138 °, 21.106 '
Altitude: 360 m
Place: Goino (Iiyama)
Etmal: 33 km (Ouch!)
Total: 1,537 km
In the evening a grandpa with two children gave me a rice
cake, green asparagus and two ventilators made out of bamboo.
However, I've put white loo paper into the ears, you never
know... Storm and rain are on the plan. In the middle of the
night I wake up, the tent is fighting against the weather
and I'm trembling. It's cold. All my warm clothes as well
as the cooker are on the journey home. Well, I've trembled
like crazy and slept badly... but the scientists still try
to do crazy
forecasts. In the morning I find fresh-fallen snow, 100 m
above my tent. Shit! And thus it's cold. The rain stops about
seven a.m. and I'm walking downhill through a valley, which
could
also be called "French style". However, the old
snow banks
on the roadside become higher and higher: 1 m; 3 m; 5 m; 7
m!!! I'm a little bit afraid thinking of the next night and
I hope to find a Ryokan. Yeah, it has worked in...., sorry
I can't read it, somewhere on the No. 117 after two fat tunnels.
I don't mind now if it's snowing! On Hokkaido there has also
been fresh-fallen snow and they have 5 degrees. Forget about
"Oh what
a wonderful May ..." and take "Oh Christmas Tree
"
back
day before next
