Day 73
Immigration
office + Russian's bazaar
GPS: N 37°, 55.170'
E 139°, 01.258'
Ort: Niigata (park on the beach)
Etmal: 28 km
Total: 1700 km
The immigration office is really in the airport and moreover,
it's a good day for administrative paperwork, grey, cold and
drizzling. After I've completed all forms, told my history
and explained my desire, they inform me that they will call
me
when the extension will be agreed to. When? Maybe in one week
up to 14 days...
I have to leave out the main part of what I've answered, but
my arguments have obviously been strong enough to give top
priority to the matter and call the boss. He tells me that
he will have a look at my special case and is back in about
one hour. Well then, I'm going to have a coke...
10 minutes later, I haven't yet finished my coke, I get the
decision: they have agreed to the extension. Wow! Is that
the Japanese German friendship? Great! The rest of the day
I
must cross the industrial harbour of Niigata-Higashi where
Russians and Arabs handle countless deals with used cars
or whatsoever. It's good to practice once in a while my Russian.
Easy going
Today I've walked again till the end, I couldn't go on further.
There's still 1 km to the beach, 300 m to the colour factory
(smells good!) and it's still drizzling
What a day!
