Day 75
A
bad day
GPS: N 38°, 09.786'

Ort: Kamihayashi
Etmal: 28 km
Total: 1755 km
I've slept badly, because the complete silence and quiet swashing
of the sea have made me nervous after 74 days of permanent
tinkling, noise terror and announcements from hidden loudspeakers
(even the trucks talk here!).
After having emptied my bowels somewhere in the forest, again
somebody appears suddenly in front of me. When I
want to take a photo of salmons hung up for drying, a man
suddenly comes out of a house and wants to wash the sidewalk
with a tube starting 5 cm beside my Leica. When I want to
take lunch having just prepared the meal on a
driveway in front of a field being unused for years, the farmer
arrives with his tractor in order to plough the field. The
forecasted "one week with sun" has started with
rain and
storm and I'm walking along the coast thinking that this is
the most beautiful part of my trip up to now. It's storming
and pouring and the spray leaves a salt-crust on my skin!
I've asked 28 people if there would be a shop to buy food
and a Ryokan in Kuwakama. There are even two of each, but
all are closed (but of course I've not asked for this!). A
quite normal day in Japan, but what a day
back
