Day 77
Finally, a perfect day
GPS: N 38°, 33.425'

Ort: Nezugaseki
Etmal: 26 km
Total: 1809 km
Wonderful sunshine, a quiet sea and calm are with me the whole day. Moreover, I find tiny villages stuck in small bays at the slopes and a white sandy beach with black lava cliffs. Finally, I can dry the wet tent and stay wherever I want. This
has been a very relaxing day so far. In the late afternoon I go shopping in one of these "24-hours-open stores" (those
stores which are not allowed in Germany because of the
trade union) and ask for the youth hostel which should be hidden somewhere in the forest. The cashier gets a copy out: "after 100 m turn to the right, after 50 m turn to the left into the forest, means only 200 m....!" Gosh, I'm at a loss for words.... Later on, the hostel warden drives me to the Onsen on the beach. Afterwards I'm "well done" and the villagers invite me for tea time and watching Sumo on TV. A marvellous bay
with pines, a small mountain in the sea linked with a shiny red bridge, a small temple, a day like in heaven.
