Day 83
2000
km
GPS: N 39°, 41.512'
E 140°, 05.711'
Ort: Akita
Etmal: 33 km
Total: 1982 km
The equipment keeps only together with "good will".
Most things are "used up" and are going to end in
smoke, above all the shoes and the clothes which have been
washed too often but however not well enough. The new sleeping-bag
bought in Shizuoka has become meanwhile the old one and I'm
nearly glued to it, it's really lovely. The kilometres are
troubling me
and some of the spare parts are already squeaking, but
except for the pads everything still works.
Well, due to "careful" drivers, or better say zombies,
both walking sticks have lost their life only 15 cm beside
my knees. Of course, nobody has stopped, because this is still
not on
the plan, even after 1,000 km. After all, nobody has been
walking in Japan during the past 80 years and therefore they
don't need to adapt the programme. Oh yes, and for all who
are planning to visit Japan: Never use a crosswalk if you
want to stay alive. Actually, you will find some, but nobody
knows
the meaning as the Japanese have just copied it. Nobody will
stop and you are simply knocked down as a matter of fact.
If you want to cross the road, please do it somewhere and
everybody will stop. Anyway, everything is all right (more
or less). It still rains too much, but spring has definitely
arrived.
