Day 84
The
fears of the Japanese

There are only a few things a Japanese is afraid of, of course
except for the "Lunatic Kim". First of all they
don't turn the light of their cars in a tunnel, even if the
tunnel is unlighted. Maybe they are afraid of meeting the
Kami (ghosts) of her forefathers. Furthermore, they must be
scared for their cars (in Japan you could say "my home
is my car") to be switched off. They do nearly everything
while the car is running: shopping, walking, flirting, sleeping,
reading or sitting there "just for fun" and
doing nothing. Moreover, smoking is said to be healthy in
Japan. Almost everybody smokes everywhere and the cigarette
machines are as big as fridges in America.
