Day 88
Gaze
GPS: N 40°, 30.628'
E 140°, 36.463'
Höhe: 102 m
Ort: Owani
Etmal: 25 km
Total: 2123 km
It's quite normal that this day begins again with thick clouds nearly lying on the ground. The mountains all around make
the caldera perfect. Just close it and everything will be all
right. It's also not surprising that I pack the wet tent and walk away with a gazing look as otherwise the weather would
make me crazy. Another 2 or 3 days and then I'll be on Hokkaido, so hurry up! A little bit later the sun slowly comes
out and a sea breeze wipes off the foggy clouds. In front of
me there's again a volcano slope covered with snow. The
day isn't that bad after I've talked to a tiny grandma sitting in
a buggy and being pushed by her daughter (this is the
Japanese model of cost reduction: wheel chair is too expensive - buggy is already there). I hope that if I should
ever be as old as she is (I think she's beyond 95 years),
I can still enjoy about things as much as she can: for
example about a demolished looking Gaijin who's tramping with a gigantic backpack across Japan...
