Day 92
Fog
in the mountains and Alaska
GPS: N 41°, 49.113'
E 140°, 38.831'
Ort: Kamiise
Etmal: 28 km
Total: 2238 km
Last night a frustrated but curious old fisherman waltzed
in to have a chat. I learned that the plaices didn't come
close enough to the coast due to the cold weather totally
unusual for the season. At least I'm not the only one who
suffers from the weather! As I will be in the mountains today,
it's quite clear
that the sea fog is gone to the mountains. Someone doesn't
want me to have a nice view - a valley and a cover on, that's
it! On the pass I find a village which looks like a
one-horse-town of gold-diggers in Alaska in spring - one
street, a lot of wood with birches and mountains, as well
as a Minshuku. The latter looks like a bombers' club (a really
gigantic locomotive stands in front of the door just rusting
along, there are no rails and therefore it can't get away).
Everything seems to be quite shabby, but finally I can wash
again my mouldy clothes. I really wonder what I'll have for
dinner tonight. Tomorrow I'll be on the coast again or should
I better say in the sea fog again? Take what you want.
